Articles of Incorporation
Pursuant to article 1396-3.02 of the Texas Nonprofit Corporation Act
(Vol 3, Vernon’s Texas Civil Stats).
These Articles, fall within the purview of Section 501©3 of the Internal Revenue Code.
Article 1
Cheyenne Rescue & Sanctuary Inc.
is the name of the Corporation.
Article 2
Cheyenne Rescue & Sanctuary Inc.
is to be a perpetual Corporation.
Article 3
The purpose of Cheyenne Rescue & Sanctuary Inc. is as follows: This Corporation is organized and operated
exclusively for charitable, educational, scientific and religious purposes that fall within the menaing of Section
501©3 of the Internal Revenue Code.
1) To educate people of all ages, from the underprivileged to the wealthy and all those
in between, on the proper care and handling of rabbits, {and other small aminals}.
2) To promote public awareness and provide education on preventing cruelty to rabbits, {and all other
animals}.
3) Cheyenne Rescue & Sanctuary Inc. is dedicated to rescueing, fostering, providing
the necessary Vet Care and peaceful, protected, socially friendly, forever home, for abandoned, lost, stray,
neglected and unwanted rabbits.
Article 4
The community activities of Cheyenne Rescue & Sanctuary Inc.
dba: The Retired Rabbit Sanctuary are to include but not limited to the following:
“The Retired Rabbit Sanctuary” does atleast 6 seminars
Per year at the Bexar County Humane Society / SPCA,
Reaching children, many of whom are underpriveleged.
We have rescued and saved rabbits that were referred to us by:
a. The Animal Defense League
b. Animal Care Services of San Antonio
c. Veterinary Hospitals .
d. Bexar County Humane Society / SPCA
e. Animal Planet aka Houston Animal Cops
{TV SHOW} receiving 75 rabbits from them
f. Many Indiviuals
There are no fees or revenue incured during these activities.
Article 5
Cheyenne Rescue & Sanctuary Inc. is not to be a Membership Type Corporation. Cheyenne Rescue & Sanctuary Inc. has
Directors and a Board of Directors.

Article 11
The Operational Limitations of Cheyenne Rescue & Sanctuary Inc. are notwithstanding any other provisions of these Articles, this corporation shall not carry on any other activities not permitted to be carried on {A} by a corporation exempt from Federal Income Tax under section 501©3 of the Internal Revenue Code or {B} by a corporation, contributions, to which are deductible under section 170©2 of the Internal Revenue Code.
Article 12
If Cheyenne Rescue & Sanctuary Inc. is ever dissolved it is authorized to distribute its assets in a manner described in article 6.02(3) of the Texas Nonprofit Corporation Act. Upon dissolution of this corporation, the board of Directors shall, after paying or making provisions for the payment of all the liabilities of this corporation, dispose of all assets of this corporation exclusively for the purposes of the corporation in such manner for charitable purposes as shall at the time qualify as an exempt organization under section 501©3 of the Internal Revenue Code, as the Board of Directors shall determine. Any such assets not disposed of shall be disposed of by the Court of Competent Jurisdiction of Bexar County, Texas, since this is where the principal office is located, as the court shall determine, to exclusive organizations which have the similar purpose as this corporation, as said court shall determine.
